O guitarrista Eric Clapton anunciou que lançará, no dia 12 de março, "Old Sock", seu primeiro disco desde "Clapton", lançado em 2010. O álbum contará com duas músicas inéditas, "Every Little" e "Gotta Get Over", além de dez covers de algumas das músicas favoritas do guitarrista, entre o blues clássico e o reggae de Peter Tosh, incluindo também standards norte-americanos de George e Ira Gershwin. O disco também contará com as participações especiais do guitarrista JJ Cale, que toca e faz backing vocals em "Angel", Chaka Khan, que canta em "Get On Over", Steve Winwood, antigo parceiro de Clapton no Blind Faith, tocando órgão em "Still Got The Blues" e Paul McCartney, que canta e toca baixo em "All of Me". Já o O baterista Jim Keltner toca em "Our love is here to stay" de George Gershwin e Ira Gershwin, standard de 1938.
